King Cat and The Elders

We are King Cat and The Elders, a Roots/Rockabilly band out of Augusta, Georgia and with passion and dedication, we are keeping the rich American legacy of these musical genres alive. We’re restoring roots rock and roll to the Augusta area…and we want to bring it to your event!

The band was formed in early 2016 and since that time we’ve played at venues across the Augusta-Aiken area, including the Arts in the Heart of Augusta Festival. We were invited to perform on the Global Stage for that festival for three years in a row.

In 2017, the band was invited to perform at Rockabillaque in North Charleston, South Carolina. That was a true honor to be asked to play for the attendees. It was a day that we will not soon forget!

In 2018, we were asked by Georgia Public Broadcasting to perform as backing band for local music legend Flo Carter in a taping for the GPB program “Hometown Georgia.” you can check it out here:  https://video.gpb.org/video/augusta-omicbw/

Not ones to rest on our laurels, we continue to refine our song list and stage performance, proven by being selected for the second consecutive year by the readers of Augusta Magazine as the Best Local Rock/Alternative band for 2019!

2020 and the global pandemic has impacted so many, and we look to 2021 with the fervent hope of bringing new places and new faces a healthy dose of rockin' good music!
