From the website:
Doc’s Porchside is an homage to the founding member of the Scholer family, Doc Scholer. Porchside symbolizes the place in southern homes where family and friends gather: the front or back porch. The porch is a place where friends and family drink, eat, listen to music and tell stories better than they were told the last time we heard them. We pass our family history down to the next generation on the porch. We watch football, share meals, share a drink with those we love on the porch. The people who know us best don’t come to the front door. They walk through the gate and come to the porch, because they know that’s where we’ll be. We greet each other with hugs and hard slaps on the back, tossing a beer from the cooler and telling friends to “pull up a chair”.
The porch is not just a physical location, but a state of mind. All of Doc’s embodies the feeling of a southern porch.
